Katie and the Mona Lisa LIVE!

Imagine if art could come alive! When Katie visits the National Gallery with her Grandma, she notices that Mona Lisa in the painting of that name has lost her smile, and she wonders why. To her amazement, the lady in the picture answers her, inviting Katie to enter the frame and talk to her. Here Katie discovers the lady is lonely and is in need of a bit of cheering up, so she decides to take Mona Lisa out of her own frame and into some of the other magical Renaissance paintings hanging in the gallery. A mad-cap adventure follows asthey pass from picture to picture to meet dragons, knights in armour, dancing gods and goddesses, flying lions and singing angels, while avoiding the pursuit of the hot-and-bothered gallery guard. By the end of the journey, Mona Lisa’s famous smile has been fully restored.

Katie and the Mona Lisa, a stage version of the best-selling book by James Mayhew, and is a joyful celebration of art and artists, featuring paintings by Leonardo Da Vinci, Sandro Botticelli, Raphael Sanzio and other immortal Italian painters.
