Unlike many similar organisations in Europe and the USA, this orchestra does not benefit from any government subsidy. We receive no public funding of any sort and are therefore entirely dependent on the generosity of individuals, charitable foundations and corporate sponsors.
There are two ways to become a benefactor of the YMSO. You can support the YMSO by making a one-off donation or by making a regular donation by standing order.
If you are a UK tax payer then the YMSO can claim Gift Aid on your donation. This means that the YMSO can claim
an extra 25p for every pound you give.

For £400, subscribers to the ‘YMSO Concert and Dinner Package’ will receive:
- Double tickets for any three concerts within an 18 month period
- Interval drinks
- Dinner in the Crypt of St John's after the concert
Please note the 'Concert and Dinner' package does not qualify for Gift Aid.
You can ensure that the great tradition of classical music lives on through future generations by leaving a legacy to the orchestra. A bequest of any size is enormously valued and will give this orchestra the support it needs to continue its important work with young talented musicians. Should you wish to remember the Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra in your will please contact the administration department of YMSO to receive a pack that contains further information on legacy giving.
With no local or national government funding, individual, corporate, trust and foundation support are an essential part of the YMSO's success.
